“Portable” means different things in different contexts. The first standalone TVs, big and boxy though they were, were called “portable” just because they weren’t massive pieces of furniture. A porta-potty is more portable than a fixed-plumbing toilet, but it’s still not something you’re going to tote around town.In your suitcase, backpack, or beach bag, every quarter-inch matters. Every centimeter could make the difference between bringing something along and leaving it at home. If you want portable, the less speaker, the better.
