Keep the zipper closed and you can expect the Boveda to be fresh for up to 2 years before you’re ready to put them to use. 8-gram Boveda is for small containers and travel humidors, where our larger 60-gram pack will not fit. For desktop humidors and large containers, you’ll want to use the large 60-gram Boveda size. Boveda monitors ambient humidity and adds or removes moisture to maintain the RH engineered into the pack to an accuracy of +/- 1% with zero activation or maintenance needed. Boveda provides a perfectly stable environment for the storage of tobacco, wooden reeds, food, and herbal medicine. It’s time to replace the Boveda when there is very little softness left in the pack.
